You people need to stop talking about how CAP is such a wimpy organization. SkyRider makes it out to be a pathetic cadet program and that AFJROTC is so much better. The difference between the CAP and JROTC is that we actually go on missions, perform operations involving SAR and Homeland Security. And let's be honest, nearly all of the older cadets at my squadron are in AFJROTC. It's fine if you personally dislike CAP, but it has presented many great opportunities to me. I have met lots of interesting people, got to participate in activities that were very interesting and it gave me a chance to actually be a leader and someone who actually matters. In a normal civilian life, we are looked down upon, but as a cadet I can be a leader and finally know what it feels like. So I ask all of you to keep your bigotry in check.
